First 90 Paws gives general information to help you plan for a pet. It isn't veterinary, legal or financial advice. If you're worried about an animal's health, contact a vet straight away.

Costs are estimates

Cost figures are typical UK prices checked in September 2026, and are in line with PDSA minimum estimates where PDSA publishes them. Your real costs will depend on the animal, breed, where you live and your vet. The affordability result is a guide, not a guarantee.

UK rules

We summarise UK rules as they stood when last checked, mostly for England. Rules in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can differ, and rules change. Check GOV.UK or your council for the current position.

Using the app

You can use First 90 Paws for your own, non-commercial use. Please don't copy the content or use it to build a competing product without permission.

We work hard to keep the content accurate but can't promise it's complete or error-free. So far as the law allows, we're not liable for losses from relying on it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
